Two lateral apartments in a Victorian Mansion block, which remained unaltered for over 30 years, required a full refurbishment and adaptation. Although the apartments will become home for one family, the requirements for each were unique and provided architectural challenges to overcome. Marrying the period apartments with modern living requirements, such as air conditioning, presented design challenges, as well as testing planning and licensing requirements, all of which we are proud to say we over came and obtained for our client.
A design philosophy has been built in collaboration with Louisa Penn Interiors, which focuses on retaining historic, architectural features, such as mosaic floor tiling, whilst juxtaposing with clean lines of contemporary spaces with accents of Asian influence.
